Gala Bidding Information

Prior to our event, we want to make sure everyone has a GiveSmart account to participate in the silent auctions and/or contribute to the Paddle Raise.

If there are any questions or issues, please email Lindsay Bartlett, Associate Director of Annual Giving and Special Events.

CREATING A BIDDING ACCOUNT ON GIVESMART:

  • If you have participated financially in the Gala over the last two years (purchased a ticket, family sponsorship package, or auction item; participated in a Gala Gathering; donated to the Paddle Raise; etc.), you likely already have a GiveSmart account. Please click here and select "Sign In or Register" in the top right corner to sign in.
  • If you don't already have an account, please click here, select "Sign In or Register" in the top right corner, and then "Register Now" at the bottom of the pop-up.
  • Create an account. Select "Text Messages" so you can be sure to get notified of any event messages, bids, and/or purchases.
  • Once you have created an account, you will receive a text message that will direct you to the main screen.
  • When you receive a welcome text message from GiveSmart, click on the link and head to the home screen.

BIDDING AND DONATING ON GALA NIGHT:

  • Sign in with the username and password you used to register.
  • Once signed in, you will have the ability to click on "ITEMS" in the left hand portion of your screen. At this time you will be able to see everything up for auctions.
    • You can sort by different sections of the Silent Auction by clicking on "Categories."
  • Once you have clicked on an item to view, you are welcome to place a bid.
  • By clicking the "Place Bid" section, you are responsible for monitoring your own bid.
  • By Clicking "Auto Bid," GiveSmart will increase your bid as needed to keep you winning until your indicated amount is reached.
  • For the Paddle Raise, you can select the "Paddle Raise" category and choose your donation amount.

The Silent Auction will go live for bidding on Friday, March 22, at 12:00 p.m.
