Food and Household Item Drive

Help us help others! Join the Parent Association Service Committee April 18-22 during Morning Drop-Off for a special drive with double the impact, benefiting Lakeview Pantry and Digs with Dignity.

Lakeview Pantry
Help members of our Chicago community overcome hunger by donating nonperishable food items. Specifically, Lakeview Pantry has a need for the following: 

  • Baking Items (sugar, flour, cake mix, etc.)
  • Canned Beans
  • Canned Fruit
  • Canned Meals (chili, canned pasta, etc.)
  • Canned Tuna or chicken
  • Canned Soup
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Canned Vegetables
  • Boxed Cereal
  • Coffee & Tea
  • Condiments 
  • Hot Cereal (oatmeal, etc.)
  • Pasta
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jams and Jellies
  • Rice
  • Side Dishes (mac and cheese, etc.)
  • Shampoo, Soap, Lotion

Digs with Dignity
Help provide dignified housing for Chicagoans coming out of homelessness by donating gently used household items. Specifically, Digs with Dignity is seeking:

  • Crockpots
  • Tea Kettles
  • Casserole Pans
  • Cooking Utensils
  • Oven Mitts and Pot Holders
  • Colorful Dish Towels
  • Tall Kitchen Garbage Cans

Bath Wishlist

  • Small Bath Garbage Cans
  • Shower Caddies
  • Patterned Cloth Shower Curtains
  • White or Clear Shower Curtain Liners
  • Over the Door Hooks
  • Colorful Bath Towels, Hand Towels and Wash Cloths
  • Tissue and Toothbrush Holders
  • Soap Dispensers

Additional Needs

  • Twin/Full/Queen Mattress Pads
  • Twin/Full/Queen Blankets
  • Twin/Full/Queen Bedskirts
  • Twin/Full/Queen Duvets and Duvet Inserts

  • Spray Paint - Black, White, and Bright Colors

Please bring donation items to Morning Drop-Off for deposit into the bins located at entrances and the Courtyard. Items should be separate from your child's other possessions and ready for deposit (not in backpacks) so as not to block sidewalks or create bottlenecks at the door.
