Parent/Guardian Coffees with Dr. Caroline Adelman
Dr. Adelman will be hosting a facilitated discussion on student mental health for our Virtual Attendance (VAO) families on Wednesday, April 28, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Families who continue to participate in VAO or who have recently returned to on campus learning are invited to attend this more specific session.
Dr. Adelman is a Clinical Psychologist and founder of Chicago Psychotherapy, LLC, a private practice dedicated to evidence-based treatment across the lifespan. She previously worked as a therapist and Co-Director of the Child and Adolescent Anxiety Clinic at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, and also served as a Wellness Director in a private school setting in Chicago until 2020. Since 2013, she has been on the clinical teaching faculty at Northwestern University, most recently as adjunct teaching faculty within the Counseling Program at The Family Institute. Dr. Adelman speaks nationally and internationally on bringing evidence-based wellness strategies and healthy communication practices into the contexts in which people live, learn and work. She delivered a TEDx talk in 2020, focused on the topic of Resilience in Times of Uncertainty.
