Parent/Guardian Coffees with Dr. Caroline Adelman

Parents/guardians are invited to join Clinical Psychologist Dr. Caroline Adelman on Wednesday, August 25, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. The evening will include a presentation related to supporting our children’s return to school during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Adelman presented to our community in April, and we received positive feedback from parents about both programs that she offered. We are bringing Dr. Adelman back as a resource to help contextualize and name what we have gone through collectively since the start of the pandemic, and to help us understand how to prepare ourselves and our children for the road ahead. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation. In the interest of facilitating open dialogue, this live session will not be recorded.

Dr. Adelman is a Clinical Psychologist and founder of Chicago Psychotherapy, LLC, a private practice dedicated to evidence-based treatment across the lifespan. She previously worked as a therapist and Co-Director of the Child and Adolescent Anxiety Clinic at The Family Institute at Northwestern University, and also served as a Wellness Director in a private school setting in Chicago until 2020. Since 2013, she has been on the clinical teaching faculty at Northwestern University, most recently as adjunct teaching faculty within the Counseling Program at The Family Institute. Dr. Adelman speaks nationally and internationally on bringing evidence-based wellness strategies and healthy communication practices into the contexts in which people live, learn and work. She delivered a TEDx talk in 2020, focused on the topic of Resilience in Times of Uncertainty
