2025 Summer Reading and Checkout Hours
Cook Library Summer Checkout:
The Catherine Cook Library will be open for checkout on the following schedule:
- Thursday, June 12 | 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, June 24 | 1:00– 5:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 16 | 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Students may visit the Cook Library, accompanied by an adult, and check out up to 15 books! All books borrowed during the summer will be due during the first week of the 2025-2026 school year.
Sora Student Reading App:
On Sora, you’ll find a small collection of Cook Library ebooks. Plus, you can link Sora to your Public Library account to read their collection of ebooks, too!
- Grades PS-8 can sign in using their Cook Google account info
Summer at Chicago Public Library - Growing Minds, Going Green
Starting June 21, kids, teens, and adults can visit the Chicago Public Library for plenty of events, activities, and READING (of course). Visit Summer at CPL for more information.
