Dear Catherine Cook Community,
After careful deliberation and consideration for the health and safety of the Catherine Cook community and to support the efforts in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in our larger community, we have decided to close school for students beginning Monday, March 16, with classes planned to resume on Monday, April 6, following Spring Break. Faculty and staff will be present at school Monday to further prepare for continuous distance learning. As a reminder, there are no known confirmed or unconfirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Catherine Cook community. We are keeping school open tomorrow so families have time to prepare for the upcoming weeks and to allow students to collect all belongings they will need. If you would like to keep your child home tomorrow please let your lead teacher or advisor and division head know so we can record it as an excused absence. We will communicate with families on Monday, March 16, and provide a schedule for continuous distance learning for the remainder of the week.
We plan to keep in steady communication with our families while we engage in school from afar. As always, I thank you for your continued cooperation, collaboration, and understanding.
All my best,
Lori-Anne Brogdon, Ed.D.
Head of School
