Alumni Events at Catherine Cook

Thank you to all the Alumni who joined us for 8th Grade Graduation on June 9, 2017, and welcomed the graduating class to the Alumni Association with our traditional pinning ceremony. It means a lot to the graduates and the larger Catherine Cook community that you make time to stay connected and be a part of these big occasions. Have a wonderful summer!

It was so great to see almost 30 Alumni from the Classes of 2014, 2015, and 2016 at our Veterans Day event on Friday, November 11, 2016! They were able to visit with all their old teachers, reconnect with friends, and see what's new at Catherine Cook. We look forward to seeing all of you again soon!

Thanks to all the Alumni who joined us at the Girls Volleyball game on October 18, 2016! It was great catching up, and the team appreciates your support!

Thanks for joining us at this morning's Graduation Ceremony, Alumni! Thank you's are also in order for the Alumni who helped out at the Pinning Ceremony!

Thanks so much for joining us at the Alumni Class Captain/Influencers Meeting yesterday, Dillon Jacobson, Dani Schulgasser, Becca Hinkhouse, Rachel Levin, and Sophia Manrique! Your input and time are invaluable to the Catherine Cook community!

On Thursday, January 15, Catherine Cook Alumni were invited for another opportunity to cheer on the Cougars at the Junior Varsity Boys Basketball games. All the Alumni who attended were placed at different high schools, so it was a great chance to reconnect and catch up on life after Catherine Cook.

On Tuesday, October 21, Catherine Cook Alumni were invited to cheer on the Girls Varsity Volleyball team as they enjoyed refreshments provided by the Alumni Committee and reconnected with each other at the first Alumni event of the 2014-2015 school year. Catherine Cook also hosted tours of the New Wing, led by the Advancement team, so our Alumni could see firsthand all the amazing changes their school had gone through just in the past year!

On Wednesday, October 15, Catherine Cook hosted the Annual High School Fair in the Gymnasium. Several Alumni joined more than 55 schools from around the area and nation arrived to interact with 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade students from our school and Franklin Fine Arts. Feedback about the event and our students from the visiting schools was extremely positive. Having our Alumni in attendance did great service in confirming that Catherine Cook is a must-see institution in the nationwide admission community.

As part of the Graduation Day ceremonies, Alumni gathered in the Library on Friday, June 6 for the traditional Pinning Ceremony. This year twelve Alumni (many of whom are siblings of 2014 graduates) officially welcomed our Class of 2014 to the CCS Alumni Association. After a warm and welcoming introduction from the Head of Middle School Cory Stutts, Alumni distributed special Catherine Cook pins to the graduating students, followed by a breakfast reception and the Graduation program in the CCS gym. Thanks for coming out and helping us celebrate, CCS Alumni!

The Alumni Committee at CCS sponsored a casual party for Alumni at the CAMS Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, February 11. The turnout was fantastic; we welcomed many Alumni from the Class of '10, '12, and '13. The event featured pizza, refreshments, and connecting with old friends as we cheered our Girls Basketball teams on to victory. Both Girls Varsity and Junior Varsity teams went on later that week to win the league titles! The Alumni Committee hopes to host many more events and activities like this in the future.

The Middle School High School Night was Wednesday, October 16, from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in the Gymnasium. This event was mandatory for students in 7th and 8th Grades, optional for students in 6th Grade. Students and their families were joined by 50 high schools, who answered questions and presented about their respective schools. This was a great opportunity for 6th Graders to learn about high school, 7th Graders to get a feel for what’s out there and take a serious look at what is appealing to them, and 8th Graders to really hone in on top choices and build relationships, while simultaneously learning about backup options.
