Assemblies

Hero

Frequently named as a favorite tradition among community members, our weekly Friday All-School Assemblies provide a time for the whole school to come together in celebration of learning.

Students are able to share about a special project or unit of study, showcase their musical or artistic talents, enjoy an interactive experience with a guest visitor, and provide highlights about after school activities and athletics. It is an excellent way for students to practice their public speaking skills for a large audience as well as for audience members to practice their audience etiquette skills.

Recent Friday Assemblies have included:

ROARS Assembly

Typically our first All School Assembly of the year, the ROARS Assembly brings our community together to learn how to be a ROARSy student. Through student speakers and crowd participation, we discuss ways to be Respectful, take Ownership, show Appreciation, have Responsibility, and prioritize Safety.

Cook Book Awards Assembly

During our Annual Cook Book Awards, students read a wide range of books in Library enrichment, passionately vote on which ones they believe should receive awards in a variety of categories, and excitedly celebrate the winners during an electrifying assembly that has the whole school cheering for books. To end the assembly, authors and illustrators of the nominated books often send personalized messages and videos thanking our students for their award.
