Extended Day

Extended Day is from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. and is a service provided by the school for those families that need supervision for their children after regular school dismissal.

But oh, it's much more than that and our students agree!

Extended Day is a special time of day when students of all ages get to "hang out" with each other and learn those valuable social skills of how to relate to one another in a more diverse setting than their normal classroom.  

• Students participate in teacher led cooperative games in which older students compassionately help the younger students learn how to play together.
• Students help to prepare our snack in a clean and orderly way.
• Students engage in activities of their own interest and design activities for others. 
• Students complete their homework if they have it. 
• And, it's the perfect time to relax, socialize, and learn about each other as friends!

Our staff is composed of teachers in training, college students, and teaching professionals that all have one focus: getting to know your child better and guiding those free hours after a day of learning in the classroom.

Parent and Caretaker Responsibilities:

• Sign out your child each day from one of our Extended Day staff.
• Respect the staff's personal lives by picking up your child no later than 6:00 p.m.
  (A late fee of $10 for every 5 minutes will be assessed otherwise.)
• Encourage your child to brainstorm activities, interests, and games that can be explored after school and encourage them to share with the staff. We love new ideas and developing interests, however, sometimes extra toys are best left at home to avoid accidental loss or devastating breakage.

Pricing and Payment Options: 

If you choose to not prepay in the ways listed below, the hourly rate for Extended Day is $20/hour. Please register to get the maximum financial benefit and to help us plan for enrollment! Trimesters are coordinated with the After School Adventures schedule.

Fall Trimester: September 7 - December 3
Winter Trimester: December 6 - March 15
Spring Trimester: March 16 - June 10

* Hourly Rate Punch Cards in 5-40 hour increments (Register at any time):

- Each student's punch card will stay at school with the Extended Day staff.

- Cards will be time-stamped for accuracy, may be used between family members, and expire at the end of the school year.

- Parents may check how many hours they have left and purchase additional punch cards at any time.

- Punch cards will be punched after an hour of Extended Day care, with a 15 minute grace period. Therefore, the second hour of Extended Day starts at 4:16 p.m. and the third hour of Extended Day starts at 5:16 p.m. Avoid confusion and procrastination by setting your clock to our time stamp.

One minute over the grace period activates another hour of service. Grace period does not apply to end time of 6:00 p.m. An additional late fee of $10 for every 5 minutes past 6:00 p.m. will be applied.
