Parent Association
Welcome from the Parent Association Executive Committee!
A thriving Parent Association is at the heart of the Catherine Cook experience. The purpose of the Parent Association is to build a sense of community and to provide a strong communication link between the parent body and the school. Every parent or guardian of a CCS student is automatically a voting member of the PA, which holds monthly meetings and sponsors a host of all-school events and volunteer opportunities. The monthly PA meetings are an excellent way to meet fellow parents, learn how to get involved, and find out what's happening in the school.
Great Activities
The PA seeks to foster positive relationships between parents and the school's administration, faculty, staff, and Trustees. Throughout the year, the PA works with the school to develop activities and events that foster a sense of community. The Back to School Celebration is a great kick-off to a new school year and is an oppportunity to get to know the CCS community in a relaxed setting and celebrate the start of another year of learning.
Great Volunteers
Parent Association activities rely on the enthusiastic participation of the parent body for success. Whatever your talents and time, there's a job that's right for you. The Volunteer Handbook is a useful guide that lists a host of programs and events that could use your special touch.
For more information about the programs and activities, please contact the 2010-2011 Parent Association Executive Committee.
